What is True Will Always Win
How do we know what’s true for us? What happens when what once felt like a win no longer does? Maybe truth is more seasonal than permanent—and maybe that’s the beauty of it.
I was having a conversation with a friend the other day about truth - how we know what’s true for us. It’s not always easy to define, but we came to a simple agreement: What is true ‘for you’ will always win.
Not “win” in a competitive, ego-driven sense. But win as in - it will settle in, take root, resonate. Truth doesn’t need convincing. It just is.
You can feel it in the people you choose to have around you. Do they see you? Honor you? And not just you - how do they treat the people/things that you love? That matters just as much.
You can feel it in the things you consume - what you listen to, what you watch, where your time goes. Does it bring joy? Does it leave a soft calmness in its wake? Discernment becomes a quiet compass in this way. It doesn’t always shout - it hums.
But here’s the next layer we explored: What happens when the win wears off? When the thing that once felt like truth no longer does? When the job, the relationship, the belief, the rhythm that once brought peace now feels like friction?
Sometimes the win becomes a loss. And that’s where the lesson lives.
Maybe the win was real - for that version of you. Maybe it brought you just what you needed in that season. But seasons change. We grow. And knowingness evolves too.
The honeymoon with truth can end, not because it wasn’t true, but because you’ve changed. And when that happens, the invitation is not to cling tighter, but to listen deeper. To ask: What is true for me now?
And trust that answer, even if it means letting go of what once was. Because here’s what I believe: Truth doesn’t need to last forever to be true. It only needs to meet you fully in the moment. And when it no longer does, another truth is waiting.
So, we get to a point when we no longer fear the loss of what was true, because we trust that what’s next will fit us even better. AND that’s when you know you’re really winning in every area of your life.
Thank you for spending a little bit of your morning with me. Come back every Monday for a Morning Musing - my little reflections on truth, life, and the quiet magic woven through it all. On Wednesdays, I offer a glimpse into my photography, art, or design, paired with an uplifting essay. And Fridays are for the dreamers—each week, I post a new chapter of The Magical Adventures of Moonie and Sola, a heart-filled story for the inner child in all of us.
Feel free to like, share, or leave a comment—I’d love to hear your thoughts.
