I received a new oracle deck a few weeks ago. The Rose Pocket Oracle by Rebecca Campbell w/ artwork by Katie-Louise. This Trust the Seasons Card was part of my Saturday draw, and out of the 4 cards pulled - it resonated with me the most. Questioning: How can I embrace the ever-changing seasons of my life?
Like the earth, we go through seasons of change within ourselves - mind, body and soul. Through the seasons - Winter, Summer, Spring and Fall - we are reminded that nothing is meant to stay the same. Even throughout the course of the day - sunrise to sunset, things are ever changing. In every minute, second, millisecond - things are ever changing. We are ever changing.
Just now, looking at my hand, I notice that I have a new - what we like to call an age spot that has appeared - it wasn’t there yesterday. I have finally come to accept that I am forever changing - growing - aging - evolving - declining - rebounding - warming - cooling - revolving - ascending. I am definitely not static. For nothing is meant to be static. I must fully trust the transformation - the ever-moving flow of life within and outside of me. To trust that the divine within me is helping me adapt to the ever-changing - like pulling on a sweater when it gets too cold - discarding it when it gets too hot.
As nature adapts - letting God - so should we. Let go and let God. Are we no different than the birds of the air? I ask this a lot, don’t I? When we try to control courses and outcomes, forge a path that is not meant for us - we lose the control of God’s guidance - and the further away we get from source - the flow of our life - our trueness in him - we become less and less of who we are truly meant to be and forget why we chose to be here in this lifetime on this timeline.
I don’t know about you, but I want to remember why I am here. I want to hold reverence for the seasons of change. I want to be forever changing in the care of my creator. Never having to worry - knowing that there is enough for everyone to go around - there is no need for sadness, anger, hate, hurt. Knowing that when we allow our roots to grow (through our divinely guided plan - the one we signed up for - the one that was uniquely designed before we took our first earthly breath) in the direction that they are meant to grow, they will all eventually connect in the most fruitful, flourishing common ground - where love, and laughter, and grace, and peace collide.
Trust the seasons of change - embrace your life - be forever-moving with the rhythm of who you truly are. There is nothing wrong with marching to the beat of your own drum - but let go - turn the “I must be in control” into “I must not be in control” and see what happens when you allow the sacred energy of the God within you take the wheel through every season.
I was so touched by this message this morning. I had choices of change to make yesterday and it didn't feel great to me at first. I know things are going to ne different and it's not going to be all rainbows and butterflies, however, eventually knowing that change is never ending it does help us grow and accept. So blessed to have you as a sister.
