Good Morning and Happy Spring!!

A few weeks ago, this little flowering pear bloomed as if overnight. Soft white petals unfolding in the wild, without announcement, without permission. Just… there. Alive and certain. As if they were waiting for the exact right moment to arrive.

They felt like proof. Proof that winter had loosened its grip. Proof that life was returning. Then a week later, the frost came. The winds followed. Storms pressed in and swept the blossoms away. Cold settled in again. And just as quickly as the blossoms appeared, they were gone.

For a moment, it’s easy to look at something like that and feel as though the life has left with them. As if what made it beautiful has passed.

But that isn’t the truth. The blossoms are just the signs of life. Just because they are no longer there, on this first official day of spring, doesn’t mean that the life of that little tree is gone. It is still there. Still rooted. Still growing. Still pushing out new leaves where the petals once danced in the sun.

It simply changed form.

And maybe that’s what spring is really here to remind us. Not that things will bloom and stay that way forever. But that life continues, even after what we loved has shifted, fallen, or even been carried away.

We are so quick to measure life by what is visible. The moments of fullness, the beauty we can hold in our hands. But life is just as present in what comes after. In the quiet rebuilding. In the unseen work beneath the surface In the steady, faithful decision to keep growing.

So… if something in your life has fallen away. Something that once felt like proof the everything was as it should be. Let this part of nature’s course remind you that you are still alive. The life you are looking for is still there. Still moving through you. Still asking to rise.

And when the time is right, you will bloom again.

Be love, always be love.

Maybe the question isn’t what has fallen away, but what is still here, asking to grow?

No destination. No urgency. Just the quiet act of stepping into the living world and letting it meet you where you are.

Imagine for a moment that you’ve step onto a familiar path. The air carries that unmistakable softness that comes with early spring. The kind that hints that winter has finally loosened its grip.

Birdsong drifts through the branches above you.

Somewhere nearby, a breeze moves gently through the leaves, and the scent of new growth hangs in the air. Buds are beginning to form along the branches, and blossoms appear where only bare limbs stood weeks before.

Spring always arrives this way, quietly at first and then suddenly - overnight - it awakens in full force. Bursts of color. Tender green leaves unfolding. Brilliant, white and soft oinks appearing like little sparks of love.

And when we walk slowly enough to notice, something inside of us begins to slow, too.

The mind quiets. The breath deepens. And the body remembers what it feels like to simply be present.

It was during one of those quiet moments that I found myself standing beneath a Crepe Myrtle in bloom. I looked up and suddenly the world transformed. It felt different, like stepping into another realm. The branches stretched overhead like a living canopy; pink blossoms clustered between brad leaves while sunlight filtered through in soft patched of white.

It was majestic. Enchanting. Serene.

Standing there beneath the tree, I felt enveloped – held – as if nature itself had formed a sanctuary all around me.

Trees have always carried this quiet wisdom. They root deep into the earth while stretching up toward the light. As above, so below. They stand between the worlds, grounded and reaching, steady and alive.

The pink blossoms spoke to me of renewal. Of tenderness. Of life returning again and again no matter how long the winter may have been.

The green leaves whispered balance, restoration, and breath.

And the light beyond the branches felt like a doorway – an invitation to lift my eyes and remember that I am part of something far greater than myself. We all are.

Moments like this are why nature has long been considered one of the most powerful companions in healing. It reminds us that life continues. That beauty returns. That this magical, mystical growth and renewal happen quietly, patiently, and often without us noticing until suddenly we do. Overnight.

And so today, as you become present in this beautiful sanctuary before you, beneath the Crepe Myrtle, my prayer is simple:

May we remember to lift our eyes. May we feel the quiet presence moving through the living world. May we allow beauty to soften the places in us that have grown weary. And may we trust that just like the trees, we too are rooted in the earth while reaching toward the light.

A few days ago, something small happened on Instagram, and it quietly rearranged the way I see my photography.

I got a new follower. A metal health clinic. They liked one of my photos. And it clicked… This is my marketing niche. Spaces for healing.

I have always created from the inside out.

Long before I wrote novels. Long before I pitched shows. Long before I ever called myself a photographer in any public way, I was someone who paid attention to the quiet things — light on a wall, water on glass, a single flower holding itself open after rain, the way the world slows when I stop rushing through it.

I’ve spent most of my creative life working in story. In spiritual inquiry. In the liminal spaces where people change without fully understanding how. And somewhere along the way, photography became another way to listen. A way to reflect. A way to heal.

That one small interaction — a mental health clinic noticing one of my images — made me realize something I had never realized before. They are meant to become part of healing environments. Places where people are doing brave inner work.

I believe deeply that nature heals the whole-person healing — mind, body, and soul. I believe the nervous system responds to what it sees just as much as to what it hears. I believe nature carries an intelligence that steadies us, even when we can’t name why. And I believe beauty — quiet, unforced beauty — can be a companion to recovery.

Not a cure. Not a promise. A companion.

That distinction matters.

For years, I have carried both my spiritual language and my professional instincts side by side. I’ve always known how easy it is for the deeper meaning of things to become louder than the people they are meant to serve. What shifted for me last week is how gently those two worlds can actually meet.

So I made a decision.

And now I am intentionally curating my photography for healing and wellness environments — counseling offices, clinics, hospitals, holistic practices, doctor’s offices and other spaces of care (even home environments). Not by changing what I photograph. But by finally naming who it is for.

Images shaped by stillness. By light. By open space. By the quiet intelligence of the natural world. Images that allow the eye — and the body — to rest.

This step is simply a doorway. A way for people who are responsible for creating supportive environments to browse slowly, imagine gently, and feel whether something belongs in their spaces.

There is something humbling about realizing that the most aligned direction forward did not come from a strategy session, a branding exercise, or a long-range plan. It came from a single, ordinary moment of being seen by the very people my work may actually serve.

A mental health clinic took pause on my image. And in that pause, I finally understood where my photography belongs.

Sometimes an epiphany isn’t a huge lightning bolt. Sometimes it’s a soft yes that washes over you like a refreshing little stream, flowing effortlessly with trickles of knowing. And this one felt exactly like that.

ART FOR HEALING SPACES

When the wren sings, she finds me. No matter where I am - North Carolina, Alabama, Indiana, Florida - her call floats in: sister, sister, sister. It’s more than sound. It’s a thread. A remembering. A tether to something deeper than place.

She reminds me I am kin to this land. Not just the one I stand on, but every patch of earth that has ever held me.

There’s something sacred in being followed by song. So today I share these photos - a reflection of a moment of presence, wild and still, and a soft return to knowing.

I’m finding my way back to my roots: to journeying, to listening, to sharing those inner travels off and on, through the Oneness that holds us all.

Because sometimes the smallest voice carries the oldest truth.

Sing, sister. I’m listening. And yes, I am one with you.

This moment with the wren feels like a thread leading straight into Day Six of Barefoot: A Return to Knowing, a piece that leans into what it means to remember who we are through the voices of the wild, and the ones who call us back when we forget.

In every culture, white blooms have carried the frequency of purity. A return to peace. To breath. To essence. They are the floral embodiment of sacred stillness. Of prayers without words. Of light made visible.

White flowers mark the thresholds of births, weddings and deaths. They show up when the veil thins. They speak the language of beginnings and endings. And somehow, in their quiet offering, they always seem to say: You are held.

But some white flowers are more than ceremonial. They are wild. Untamed. Honest.

Wild Daisies
You’ll find them in meadows, in ditches, in places no one planned.
They bloom where they want. They are cheerful and stubborn, humble and free.

The white daisy is an everyday miracle. A child’s crown. A roadside wink. A symbol of innocence, yes—but also resilience. She doesn’t beg to be seen, and yet she is, everywhere, quietly blessing the overlooked corners of the world. Her gold center radiates from within, like a knowing. Like sun.

To walk among wild daisies is to remember that joy is simple. And that purity isn’t absence of life, it’s presence within it.

White Clematis
She climbs. She reaches. She spills herself upward into light.

The white clematis is often called “the queen of climbers,” but there’s a humility to her movement. She doesn’t force herself on the world, she partners with it. Wrapping herself around trellises, fences, trees, she becomes more beautiful with support. It’s a sacred reminder that strength and surrender are not opposites.

Spiritually, clematis represents mental clarity and higher consciousness. The white variety in particular opens the crown and invites peace, vision, and a deep trust in divine timing. She’s a dreamer’s flower, an alchemist of form and formlessness.

White Iris
If the daisy is the child and the clematis the mystic, then the white iris is the oracle.

Named for the Greek goddess who carried messages from heaven to earth, the iris has long been associated with communication between realms. In white, she becomes a beacon of spiritual insight and inner truth. There is elegance to her posture, a quiet authority. She doesn’t need adornment. She is the message.

The white iris is often seen at funerals, not to mourn but to guide. To remind us that death is not the end, only another field of bloom. Her energy is one of purification and passage. She stands at the threshold and says: You are ready.

Together, these white flowers offer more than beauty. They offer a kind of light. A sacred neutrality. A space to breathe and remember. They remind us that the most profound truths are often the softest. And that sometimes, the flowers that don’t demand attention are the ones that change us the most.

There are moments where I don’t just see a white flower, I feel it. Like the world has paused for breath. Like heaven has opened just wide enough to let something through. They are sacred moments disguised as petals—inviting me to stop, soften, and remember. To come back to the stillness I so easily forget in the rush of days.

To me, white flowers of any variety are the most beautiful of all. Not because they’re rare, but because they reveal something rare in me. Peace. Reverence. A sense of being met by the divine in the everyday. Each one feels like a gift. A benediction. A gentle reminder that the world still holds wonder and so do I.

So, the next time you pass a white bloom, don’t just glance. Pause. Let it meet you. Let it show you the part of yourself that remembers how to listen, how to breathe without rushing, how to be without needing anything more.

Why?

Because maybe it’s not just a flower. Maybe it’s a moment. A message. A mirror. And maybe - just maybe, it bloomed for you.

I knew the passionflower grew wild here on the farm. I had seen them—one or two blooms at most—each one like a secret whispered to the soil. I told my mother about them when she purchased a passionflower vine from her favorite nursery in St. Pete. during my visit. One that would adorn her courtyard, climbing toward the light.

The other day, I walked through the horse pasture toward the pine grove, where I knew I might find a bloom or two if I was lucky. But what I found was something else entirely.

Hundreds of flowers. Vines, like veins crossing the soft earth - thick with fruit. A holy abundance that had not been there before.

For years, only a few—now, suddenly so much more.

The sun was setting. The horses broke through the pines to greet me, soft breath against my arm. I didn’t have time to run back to the house and grab my camera before the light faded. So, I stood there, heart stilled, breath caught, knowing I had to return the next day.

These are some of the images I captured when I did.

But the story begins earlier—just days before my mother brought home her passionflower vine. I had gifted her two crowns of thorns—those hardy, thorned plants, blooming bright from wounded stems. A symbol of Christ’s love, yes. But also, of the resilience required to carry it.

I didn’t think much of it at the time. But now I do. Because the passionflower evokes something similar. Its name alone speaks of the Passion of Christ. Its filaments echo the crown. Its symmetry feels holy. And its fruit? Sweet and seeded, like the parables—meant to be tasted and multiplied.

And perhaps that’s why we were drawn to it—my mother, Ketnia (my sister in Christ), and I.

Three women, one ancestral line of remembrance. Not just to honor Christ, but to embody Christ consciousness - the same yesterday, today and forever - that dwells in us all.

To remember that resurrection is not an event, but a rhythm. That fruit does not come without the vine. That beauty—true beauty—often blooms where the thorns once cut deepest.

As an oracle of ascension, I believe these signs are not accidents. They are activations.

The passionflower called to us. Not as a decoration, but as a mirror.
Of what’s blooming now.
Of what’s been long buried but is ready to rise.

We, too, are bearing fruit.

May this be your blessing:
That what once felt scarce will bloom in wild abundance.
That what was hidden in thorns will bear sweet fruit.
That you remember the divine pattern in your becoming.

You do not have to search far. The symbols are already growing - in your garden, in your dreams, in your conversations, in your breath. All you have to do is notice.

So I invite you: Walk your land—whatever that land may be. Listen for what’s calling your spirit back to center. What vine is climbing toward your light? What fruit is ripening in the quiet places of your life?

You don’t need to understand it all. You only need to honor it.

The size difference? Likely just timing. In juvenile flocks, some hatch earlier than others, and growth can vary depending on access to food or environmental stress. But standing there, I didn’t think about biology. I just watched—curious, hushed, like I’d stumbled into a private story between them.

“In the still places, where water mirrors sky, the Ibis walks—scribe of the sacred, keeper of quiet truths.”

There’s a sacredness to the Ibis. In ancient Egypt, they were linked to Thoth, the god of wisdom, writing, and magic. The long, curved beak was seen as a symbol of discernment—drawing knowledge from the depths. In some Indigenous stories, they are said to guide souls through transitions. Always searching. Always between worlds.

I watched them until they moved beyond the reeds, then sat for a while longer by the pond. Just breathing. Remembering that not all messages come in words. Sometimes they come in wings.

I first discovered the Crown of Thorns plant in the spring of 2020, during the height of the pandemic. With so much of the world closed off, the Florida Botanical Gardens remained open - a living sanctuary that offered peace, beauty, and a quiet place to breathe. It was there, among the winding paths and rustling palms, that I deepened not just my photography skills, but my spiritual practice of co-creating with spirit.

This plant, so resilient, thorned, and unexpectedly blooming, spoke to something sacred in me. The biblical symbolism is immediate: the thorns that once crowned Jesus in his final suffering, and the vibrant flowers that whisper of resurrection. Pain and beauty. Sacrifice and rebirth. The quiet power of enduring what must be endured to become who we’re meant to be.

To my joy, I returned this spring to find the Crown of Thorns thriving—its blooms brighter than ever, having survived not one, but two hurricanes last fall. The entire garden had transformed. It felt like a mirror to our own journeys—weathered, changed, but very much alive.

This Place — This Farm

There was a softness to the air,

Big. Bold. A little wild around the edges. It rises with a presence you can’t ignore—sprawling branches, confident silhouette, and in the spring, an offering of delicate purple blooms that scent the air like a whispered promise. Sweet, floral, fleeting. The kind of smell that makes you pause and just breathe.

It’s my favorite tree—not just for how it looks, but for how it makes me feel.

The Chinaberry is often overlooked in the world of symbolic trees. But spiritually, it carries the energy of cleansing, protection, and bold transformation. In some traditions, it was planted to ward off negativity or used in herbal practices to remove toxins and imbalance. It’s a tree that doesn’t back down—it stands its ground and flourishes even in hard soil, droughts, or storms.

Much like the people I admire.

For me, it’s more than a tree—it’s a presence. A reminder that beauty doesn’t have to whisper. That strength and sweetness can live in the same place. That spring always returns, even when you’ve forgotten the scent of it.

And when the breeze is just right, and the Chinaberry is in bloom, I swear you can smell hope.

I root myself in strength and bloom with grace. I trust that beauty will return with the seasons, and I breathe in the sweetness of now.

There are so many lies we tell ourselves that keep us from becoming who we’re meant to be. I’ll be unpacking some of those in next week’s Monday Morning Musing - but today, I want to share one lie I carried for almost three decades… and the photograph that helped me release it.

There was a time I told myself I wasn’t good enough.

Not for photography.
Not for showing my work.
Not for being seen.

I told myself those stories so many times, they started to sound like truth—whispers turned walls, quietly closing me in. And for a long time, I let them win.

Sure, I had my work in student shows. Required shows. The kind you do because you're supposed to, not because you believe you belong. But after graduation, I let the fear take the wheel. And it stayed there - for twenty-eight years.

Until one day, something shifted. I didn’t leap with confidence. I leapt with curiosity. And that made all the difference.

One small risk. One image. One flower floating on water.

That image became Wilted Beauty - my first gallery exhibition by choice. A brown-eyed Susan from my birthday bouquet, gently curling as it faded. I saw something in that moment… a softness that came after the bloom. A different kind of beauty. A quiet power.

I captured it with my lens. And for the first time, I let the world see it—not because I had to, but because I was ready.

That single step unraveled something tight inside me. Suddenly, I wasn’t waiting for perfection. I was chasing wonder. Exploring light. Trusting that maybe—just maybe—my eye knew what it was looking for all along.

And now? I create prints that speak back to the parts of us that still believe in beauty. That still long for softness. That still ache to be held by something tender and true.

The past weekend, the moon rose in full splendor—closer, brighter, and more luminous than usual. The April Pink Supermoon.

Despite its name, the moon itself doesn’t shine pink. The title comes from phlox, a wildflower that blooms this time of year, its soft pink petals carpeting fields and forest edges across North America. A quiet reminder that spring is stirring in every corner of the earth… and within us, too.

The moon pulls on the tides. On seeds. On our bodies. And yet, how often do we rush past her phases, living as though we are not also made of rhythms?

I believe God speaks through this rhythm—the waxing and waning, the fullness and the rest. We weren’t meant to always shine. We were meant to become. To bloom, to break, to be renewed again.

In every phase, there is something holy. And in this season of soft beginnings and reawakening light, the full moon reminds us: That we are a part of a greater pattern. We don’t need to rush. We only need to rise when it’s time.

I sit beneath him, still and listening.
He sings the dawn open,
and I remember—
I, too, carry many songs.

One of the first photos I ever took with my Sony a7iii was of this Mockingbird. It wasn’t planned. Just a quiet moment that caught my eye—the way the light brushed its feathers, the stillness before it moved. I didn’t think much of Mockingbirds before that day. But after that click of the shutter, they started appearing everywhere.

Now, one sings to me every morning. It sits in the tree above my camper, weaving a song that is part its own and part patchwork—borrowed bits of other birds it has met along the way. Its throat carries a whole forest. And its presence is a kind of invitation.

I begin my mornings with its music. Eyes closed. Breath steady. Letting its song guide me into waking. Into remembering. A meditation.

It feels like a kind of blessing. A daily ritual I didn’t know I needed until it arrived.

Most of you probably already know that there is something sacred about sitting still with the sounds of nature. Not just hearing them—but listening. The wind in the branches. The wings overhead. The layered conversations of birds, insects, and unseen things. These aren’t just background noise. They are language. Communion. A pulse older than words.

To meditate with the breath of God is to return to the rhythm we were born into—before clocks, before calendars. The breath in our lungs matching the breath in the trees, the hush between waves, the hush within us.

Over the past few months, this practice—this quiet morning ritual of meditating with the birds, especially the Mockingbird—has changed me. Not in loud or obvious ways, but in something subtler. Something more lasting.

I move with more fluidity now, more ease—like I’ve dropped the weight of needing to explain everything. There is a stillness that only trees know.

Today, I’m sharing a few of my photographs - moments of quiet grandeur where trees seemed to speak without words. I don’t take these photos quickly. I wait. I listen. And more often than not, I feel something before I see it.

Trees are not just part of the landscape. They are the landscape - keepers of time, witnesses to the turning of seasons, silent carriers of wisdom - ancient wisdom.

They say if you want to feel closer to Mother Nature, go hug a tree.

There’s truth in that. Trees are one of our greatest conduits to her energy. heir roots go deep into the unseen, pulling ancient knowing up into the air we breathe. Their branches reach toward the sky, reminding us to stretch toward light. They ask nothing from us but presence - and in return, they offer grounding, clarity, and connection.

There is something sacred in their stillness. Something holy in their reach.

I have invited myself to fully tap into Earth’s energy - to really find the sacred oneness with the trees. To notice the simple signs that let me know: they are speaking. They hold messages for us, showing us how to care for our great Mother - Gaia, our Life Source, the beating heart of this world.

So today, I invite you to slow down, breathe in the beauty of these images, and remember the deep wisdom that’s always available to us—if only we’re willing to be still enough to hear it.

But what if sacred geometry is quieter than that?

What if it’s fluttering past us on delicate wings, or blooming right beneath our feet?

Lately, I've been walking through the whispering spaces between - camera in hand - drawn to the simple beauty of flowers and butterflies. To most, they don’t immediately scream geometry. Their shapes aren’t rigid polygons; they aren’t spirals you can trace with your finger.

And yet, they carry the patterns of the cosmos in their own gentle way.

Let’s start with the butterfly. It’s a mirror of balance.

Look at its wings - not just their vibrant colors, but their symmetry. Perfectly mirrored, each side reflecting the other as though the butterfly is holding up a reminder: Balance is sacred. In sacred geometry, symmetry is a foundational principle. The Vesica Piscis, mandalas, even the structure of our own bodies - all speak the language of symmetry.

A butterfly’s entire existence is a geometric journey. It begins as an egg, becomes a spiraled caterpillar, and then retreats into the cocoon - a sacred vessel - before unfolding into a new form. This cycle mirrors the spiral of life itself: birth, transformation, rebirth.

The symmetry of its wings tells us what the ancients knew: The universe reflects itself in endless ways.

Now, consider the flowers. How they unfold in Divine Proportion.

Some may not outwardly display a visible spiral like the sunflower, but if you look at the way their petals radiate - how each layer unfolds from the center - you’ll sense the presence of order. Many flowers follow the Fibonacci sequence, a pattern seen not only in nature but in the stars above.

Even in flowers without clear spirals, there’s something unmistakable: radial symmetry. A harmony of parts radiating from a center point, much like the wheel of life, the mandala, the circle upon circle we find in sacred geometry.

When we peer close, we witness that the architecture of flowers is not random—it is intentional, measured, sacred.

What struck me most as I walked, camera in hand, was how subtle this geometry can be - nature’s quiet blueprint.

It doesn’t need to be loud.

We don’t always need to measure angles or count petals to feel it.

Sometimes, standing in front of a bloom, or watching a butterfly hover in midair, something within us stirs - a recognition that this is right. This is balanced. This is beautiful.

That feeling is sacred geometry at work. It’s not about perfection; it’s about connection. It’s about remembering that the same patterns unfolding in galaxies are right here, reflected in the wing of a butterfly or the curve of a petal.

As above, so below.

The more I look, the more convinced I am that sacred geometry isn’t just something we study - it’s something we feel.

It's the symmetry of a butterfly's wings reminding us to find balance within ourselves. It’s the spiral of a flower hinting at growth, evolution, the eternal return. It’s nature’s quiet blueprint - offering itself freely, if we only remember how to see.

Next time you find yourself wandering through a field of flowers or pausing to watch a butterfly, try looking not for perfection - but for the balance, the harmony, the quiet geometry beneath it all.

Because sometimes the most sacred designs aren’t the ones we measure,
but the ones we intuitively feel.

And when you notice how effortlessly it all fits together - how even the smallest petal or the tiniest wing follows an unseen pattern - you’ll see the gentle truth:
There are no mistakes in this world. Only divine design.

There’s a certain hush that falls over you when you step beneath the sprawling canopy of the Airlie Oak. It’s the kind of quiet only centuries can create—a quiet filled not with absence, but presence. You can feel the weight of time, the pulse of life, and the subtle murmur of stories told in rustling leaves.

When I spent an afternoon at Airlie Gardens, my lens drawn again and again to this living monument. The Airlie Oak, estimated to be over 400 years old, doesn’t just anchor the landscape—it hosts it. Spanish moss drapes like old lace from its branches. Songbirds nest, squirrels scurry, and wildflowers bloom beneath its shade. Nature thrives here, in quiet symbiosis.

But what fascinates me most is how the Airlie Oak has expanded its role beyond nature, becoming a gracious host to us, too.

Beneath its arms, countless couples have exchanged vows. Families gather to celebrate milestone birthdays and anniversaries. Fundraisers find an air of purpose and elegance here, and community events pulse with life under its green cathedral ceiling. Each human gathering feels like an extension of the oak’s natural role—offering shelter, beauty, and a grounded sense of belonging.

As a photographer, I’m captivated not only by its sheer size and age but by its ability to bridge time and space, nature and humanity. Framing the Airlie Oak is like trying to capture both permanence and fleeting moments in a single shot—a timeless host standing witness to both the ephemeral and the eternal.

It makes me wonder: How many whispered wishes and joyful tears has this oak absorbed? How many footsteps have pressed into the soil beneath it, leaving invisible traces of lives intersecting?

This is what draws me back, again and again. To photograph the Airlie Oak is to photograph more than a tree—it’s to photograph a gathering place where life continues to unfold in all its forms.

If you ever find yourself near the Airlie Oak - or any live oak, take a moment to wonder up under the oak’s arms. Look up. Listen. You’ll feel it, too—the quiet strength of something that welcomes without asking, hosts without expecting, and endures without demanding.

There is a place where the veil between worlds feels just a little thinner, where the whispers of spirit dance upon the wind, and where every visit feels like a homecoming. That place, for me, is the Summer Garden at Airlie Gardens in Wilmington, NC.

At the heart of this enchanted space stands a fountain—a figure draped in flowing robes, gracefully lifting a vessel to the heavens as water cascades around her. She does not have a name, but to me, she is the Woman at the Well—a biblical reference, but also a deeply personal one. She is the bearer of wisdom, the keeper of the unseen, the eternal reminder that water is both life and memory.

There is a certain magic here, something both grounding and transcendent. Each time I return to Airlie Gardens, I find myself wrapped in its ancient embrace, stepping through its living portal into a realm where nature speaks and the spirit listens. The towering oaks draped in Spanish moss, the reflection of the sky upon still waters, the symphony of birdsong and rustling leaves—it all conspires to awaken something deep within me. It is here that I have captured some of my most profound photographic images, moments where light and energy intertwine to reveal the world as I feel it rather than simply as I see it.

This place has become a teacher, a guide into my own spiritual awareness. It is here that I have learned the language of the elementals, those beings who exist in the spaces between—dancing upon petals, shimmering upon the water’s edge, stirring the air with their presence. It is here that I have felt the whispers of spirit, unseen yet unmistakable, nudging me toward deeper understanding. It is here that I have discovered a piece of myself that is timeless.

I often wonder about the Woman at the Well. Who was she meant to be? What did the artist intend for her to represent? And yet, in the end, does it matter? She has become what she was meant to be for me—an anchor, a muse, a reflection of my own journey.

Perhaps we all have such places—spaces that call us home in ways we cannot explain. Places that speak to the part of us that remembers something beyond this lifetime. Places where we are not simply observers but participants in the sacred dance of existence.

Airlie Gardens is that place for me. And so I return, time and again, drawn to its quiet majesty, its patient wisdom, its knowing embrace. I return to stand before the Woman at the Well, to listen, to see, to feel—to remember.

And with each visit, I carry a little more of that magic back into the world.
